In Sydney, PROMPERÚ took part in Luxperience, a key event that gathers industry leaders and professionals specializing in luxury travel.

With the aim of strengthening Peru’s presence in the luxury segment, PROMPERÚ, Peru’s Tourism Board, participated in the 2025 edition of Luxperience, held in Sydney, Australia, from October 7 to 10. This event, organized by Australia’s largest travel agency group, brings together leaders and high-level professionals specializing in luxury travel.

PROMPERÚ arranged 37 business meetings with leading travel agencies specializing in high-end tourism, generating around 45 business contacts. This participation helped to strengthen Peru’s position on a strategic platform, where it was possible to establish contact with agencies whose client portfolios include Australian travelers with high purchasing power.

One of the experiences showcased at Luxperience was a first-class cruise journey through the heart of the Peruvian Amazon—where luxury meets nature.

Participants are invited to sail through the awe-inspiring landscapes of the Amazon River, tracing its origins and discovering the magnificent Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve. Spanning more than 21,000 square kilometers, this protected area is a biodiversity haven teeming with vibrant flora, fauna, and authentic adventure.

Each morning begins with the tranquil beauty of the rainforest, where travelers may enjoy breakfast in the company of pink river dolphins, a rare and captivating species. Guided excursions allow visitors to observe colorful birds in their natural habitat, and visit animal rescue centers.

Cultural immersion further enriches the journey, as visits to nearby communities provide insight into traditional ways of life shaped by fishing, hunting, and sustainable agriculture. The hospitality and warmth of local residents add a distinctly human dimension to this extraordinary adventure.

Australia represents a strategic market for promoting tourism in Peru. Between January and August 2025, Peru received a total of 19,577 Australian tourists, representing a 25% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
