Paris, France, October 16th, 2026, NewsDirect

FEDIDA ASSOCIES‘ client, Mr Kakhramonjon Olimov, issues a statement :

“Over the past eighteen months, my family and I have been subjected to a series of attacks which I believe to be criminal and unlawful. I am providing this statement to correct misinformation and give a true account of these events.

“On 24th June 2025, I was kidnapped in Paris. I was detained and tortured for two days and forced to pay a ransom for my release.

“Following a French police investigation, five individuals were arrested and are being held in pre-trial detention, and two are under judicial supervision while the French judiciary is preparing a criminal case against them. Given the seriousness of their offences, all requests for bail have been denied.

“Since then, the economic, legal and reputational attacks on me and my businesses have continued and escalated. The most recent provocation has been the absurd issuance of an Uzbek Interpol Red Notice accusing me of kidnapping, whereas I am the victim of the kidnapping. The Red Notice has now been removed from Interpol’s website. I vehemently deny all these fabricated allegations and am fighting them in court.

“I have full faith in the French and Uzbek judicial systems, and I firmly believe that those responsible will pay for their crimes. Unfortunately, their actions stain the reputation of my beloved home country of Uzbekistan, and run contrary to the vision of our President H.E. Mr Mirziyoyev: a modern and prosperous Uzbekistan that upholds the rule of law and welcomes domestic and international investors.”
